I know I did it again.
More teasing and more abusing of dwarves.
But Thekki is a tough little guy.
It’s probably just a flesh wound…?
Although I must admit it already looked painful
just drawing out the scene.
Hang in there buddy!
Talking about hangovers…
Going from bad to worse…
I was going to fill the hallway behind them with
the aliens that had poured through the door.
But I quickly concluded that the whole scene
became way to crowded and took away the
focus from an even larger threat.
It also suggests our short-legged heroes
have at least created some distance between
them and their pursuers.
If it will help them is another question
Have you ever seen dwarves running this much except for
The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers?
Natural short distance sprinters indeed.
Talking about well known dwarf references; when I had to
think of a title for this comic and I saw those green glasses
a name popped into my mind, “green tinted goggles”.
At first I didn’t even know where it came from but after
some research it hit me… it’s an item from WoW.
Funny how such details seem to pop up unconsciously.
Brainwashing I tell ya!
I haven’t touched that game in a while and my “addiction”
luckily wasn’t as extreme but it does have a great
representation of fantasy/steam punk dwarves.
It was the only reason I played Alliance.
Please don’t hate me for it.
“Oh, I’m a social drinker”
Every time someone says “I’ll have a drink”,
I say, “so shall I.”
Young and impetuous…
We had planned to have a “red shirt” be killed off
right from the start.
He didn’t have a name until much later when we
decided to “officially” add him to the cast.
Seemed a bit too obvious to have an anonymous
addition like that.
But I have to admit the little guy kinda grew on me
after only a few comics.
Still… not smart running into a bunch of deadly
aliens like that now is it?
P.s. We added some extra material and sketches
on facebook here!
Foolish or brave? Or both?…
Ever noticed that in most all sci-fi movies and series someone inevitably picks up/pulls loose a metal rod or pipe in an action scene? Just resonates well with basic human instinct I guess.
First comic on a deadline and everything went perfectly smooth.
So let’s hope for many more deadlines to come.
I also want to thank everybody who already left a comment.
We’re just getting started so we can use all the positive feedback we can get. Thanks guys!
Knock Knock…Who’s there?…
Fearless alien killing machines intent on devouring you whole!
Welcome then and eat some lead! BLAM BLAM BLAM!
For me one of those annoying details in many action movies
is that the heroes always seem to have an unlimited supply of ammo at exactly the right moments.
How many bullets did Thekki have left?
