Seems like making a comic can be a
dangerous business.
I absent-mindedly swung a lamp away
while drawing.
(One of those long armed TL-lamps).
I’ve done that many times but this time
it hit a nearby window…
And the whole window chattered into pieces!
It didn’t even hit the glass that hard.
Bad luck I guess…
Or I’m simple just as crude
as the dwarves I’m drawing

Because he’s a cool mother$%#*!
I cheated with the perspective on the trike…
The front wheel fork is much more elongated
then in the previous comic.
But it needed an “easy rider” chopper look.
It just had to.

Damnit…
Chapter 3 (literally) plunges our short heroes
in a down & dirty survival situation.
But we know many would love to see more
about the culture and background of these dwarves.
While they’re not fighting for their lives
on alien planets that is…
We’re planning to add a much more extensive
background section to the site just for that!
And hopefully add to that from time to time
while we move the story along.
But for now you’ll have to do with this *short* preview.

Being the first one to encounter
alien life forms first hand.

And they seem to like him too!

No beer *grumble*
But to be honest I’m a bit careful
with all the “beer guzzling”.
The intention is to be a dwarf comic
WITH “proper” alcohol consumption.
Not to be a dwarf comic BECAUSE of
all the heavy drinking.
But I might be too careful.
On the other hand.
When they do finally get to that
well earned beer the reward will
be all the sweeter for it…
With a royal hangover to boot!

Some Tuesday teasing!
I wonder how long it will take before I can’t stand
drawing all those mushrooms anymore!
I’ll start to worry when I’m dreaming about smurfs
and their mushroom houses or something similarly
disturbing…
Come to think of it…
It’s legal for me to score some
“special” mushrooms.

In a way this is a re-introduction.
And we haven’t seen all the characters together
before so this is the perfect excuse!
We could have let one or even several dwarves die
in the crash…
But they have had enough bad luck
for a while and are well due for a lucky break.
So…
Orcs, fungus beer and holy frogs.
I’m way ahead of you guys!

Talking about priorities…
This beaten up ship was originally intended
as a short range transporter with a small crew.
So even if they would have “landed” without
loosing pressure they probably would only have
enough suits for 2 or 3 lucky dwarves.
And even that wouldn’t have saved em in the long run
IF there wasn’t any breathable atmosphere.
So literally just plummeting to the surface and hoping
for the best was as good a plan as there ever was.
