Winter has finally arrived here.
It’s COLD! And so is my workspace…
Just an excuse for more hot drinks while drawing.
We had many ideas to round out the chapter but eventually
settled on a simple “reflection”. Literally and figuratively!
For anyone expecting cinematic last stands or
elaborate space battles… I blame cold fingers.
Teb

Is the name of the ship Sasquatch? Nice!
I’m not really sure about the reflection though, I like the general idea, but the lighting in the interior seems wrong…
I love the ship name! Awesome Sir!
The ship name is fine… except how do space dwarves know the word (or concept of a) “sasquatch”? I know, I’m overthinking it.
Hi again Teb! Weeks been nuts for me sorry I missed your last pic. I my only advice in giving scale in space is serious perspective. For serious scale it has to be much more static and be willing to hog up a whole page. You’d of conveyed much more scale if the Sasquatch was a hell of alot closer to the moon (as in it takes up 3/4ths or so of the page and have the carrier dominate more of the page itself. Think that would of given off the vibe of “EFFING HUGE!” you wanted better. To really nail it you’d of had to make their flying brick seem like a gods damned speck of sorts I’m afraid.
And lighting. I nitpick because I know how that works in space, in reality at least. It’s more like two sides of a coin. It was a easy mistake and you ARE just drawing a comic but I’m used to knowing planets light and dark sides are half and half with the only gradient you could shade being at the point the two meet. Hell maybe that system had two suns or something! True lighting would be a massive pain though so abuse it for all I care.
Also I put my money at the alien hive being about 1/2th to at least 1/4th the mass of the moon. Yes I think it’s big as the gods damn Death Star or something. Hmm. did you even think about it having it’s own gravity well if its that big?
Like always keep going Teb! I gotta have someone to keep on their toes.
Great closing shot
I think this panel very nicely sums up everything you need to know about dwarves and their supressing feelings. Talks so much, this little pic! Like a scene from an island saga.
I’m a little surprised about the ship name. The end of the chapter and the reflection of an old dwarf is great, but…
It looks like he is outside the ship, next to that huge “insectoid” from prievous image.
Try to finish details and it would be best web comic ever
