A short distance transporter really doesn’t need
a big map display like this.
But dwarves don’t cut corners and prepare for
every situation so the option would be
built in anyway…
While making this comic I thought it probably
would have been used as a regular table
for many years.
Hence the worn look and mug stains.
Hastily plugged in and cleaned to plan
the journey ahead.
So…
Which destiny will they choose?

Very nice angle, I like the depth of the display. It feels as if it was a well. That might have to do with how Valia is leaning against it – nice “relaxed” (or maybe “bored”?) pose.
Cool design, looks impressive.
Looking forward to the next update already!
Great chapter, wonderful comic overall. The first time I see this in a webcomic. And the first time I would totally do one of those female dwarves
Ahh travel in space. I’d nitpick the whole fuel thing with no gravity to slow them down except they are trying to run like dwarves after a rolling beer keg here. This is something I can easily pass over though, after all most science fiction falls apart without some kind of faster than light travel, everyone dies of old age or civ collapse cuz their trip was 80 frakking years.
But will good old laws of inertia be involved here? Ah screw it I can just assume their range is how far they can go before the flying brick truly becomes an actual flying brick someone has to catch because it can’t alter course or momentum anymore.
Artwise you make me happy, angles great and I like how simplistic the console display is, makes it feel real. And how the HELLASS do you keep up with that girls dreadlocks?! I’d never design a character with dreads simply because of how much detail I’d try and give the damn dreads. All those rolls my lord.
P.S. what are the specs on that craft anyway? I know space lets you make it anyway you want but did you ever make a basic layout for the interior? (Yes I’m that bored right now. All I got is work at the moment.)
